My friend Carrie wrote a post after my first posting saying I should talk about my "Franks". Since this ties into my family I figured why not. If you yell Frank in my house you had better be specific. I say this because my grandfather, father, brother, husband, father-in-law, and grandfather-in-law, are all named Frank... What is worse is that not only do they all have the first name of Frank, they also all have the middle name William. No I'm not kidding... We did not realize what a problem this was until my husband's father tried calling the house. When my mother answered the phone he proceeded to say, "hi this is Frank is Frank there"? From there, my mother asked, "which Frank? Frank Sr. or Frank Jr."? My husband's father then said, "Frankie Jr." and my mother said, "ok we narrowed it down a little, now which Frank Jr. do you want? Caswell or Maginn"? By the end of this conversation, it became apparent that we needed to give out nicknames for everyone or we would have a big problem if someone called the house looking for one of them. My father's nickname is Dad (yeah, yeah, yeah, I know it is obvious), my brother is Frankie (since he is the youngest he got the little kid sounding name), my husband we call by his last name Maginn, and my father-in-law we call by his nickname Franko.
Getting away from all the Franks in my life, my husband and I live with my father, my mother (Joyce) my sister (Jackie) and my brother. My husband's father and step-mother (Beth) live just a few streets away, while the rest of his family still lives in P.A. and N.J. I will be concentrating on just the family members that live in Florida for now because your brain will fry if I try to introduce everyone (my husband is the oldest of seven children!!).
